Expoview 'No way to win, nothing to lose' at Rufus Gallery - march 2022

‘No way to win, nothing to lose’ was a solo show at Rufus Gallery in Ghent. In this expo 27 works were exhibited on displays which referred to dioramas, altars and shopping shelves. All the sculptures have a link with the sculptural qualities that live in boardgames and toys. Within this format a variety archetypal imagery is fused to form new ‘sticky images’ that can be joined to the original image-pool where the sculpture has its original grounding. In some works the resemblance with common boardgames is strongly visible in others it's kept more subtile. None of the sculptures is playable as a game, all have to be played by watching. The expo was on view from 26.02.2022 until 03.04.2022. All sculptures were made between march 2020 and february 2022. Catalogue and prices can be found on the website of Rufus Gallery.
