‘A pit makes A pile’ was a soloshow in a vacant space in a shoppingmall in the city center of Liege and organized by Art Au Centre Liege. For the fifth edition of this event I showed a selection of recent works from the past year in an installation wise display that can best be described as an interpretation of an excavation site. The window display is placed in such a way that there is confusion towards its meaning. Is it a scale model, a landscape, a scene ready to be explored or maybe interrupted and abandoned? The setting is clearly staged and orchestrated, the viewer can’t get to the work. This way of placing and exhibiting objects functions as a reference to old museum-diorama displaying. The window diorama was on view from February until April 2021
